Our homestay students have come from all over the world. We host students from Japan, Taiwan, South Korea, China, South America and many other countries. Most come in order to study English in Canada. However Beacon has also hosted short-term visitors who come to tour Edmonton and the surrounding region. Our students range in age from early teens to adults of all ages. The majority of students are between the ages of 18 to 25. For students under the age of 18, we can facilitate guardianship during their stay.

You will also have the opportunity to experience Canadian culture in a supportive family environment. It can be difficult for students to be away from home. In a homestay you will get help and support from your host to make the most of your stay.
